"What?" one of my friends remarked sarcastically "Did the space shuttle blow up?" "Yeah! It did!" Twenty years ago today this Saturday, Challenger disintegrated shortly before noon EST. Two minutes and forty-five seconds later, the crew compartment splashed into the Atlantic, killing all seven astronauts aboard. Two minutes and forty-five seconds.
